You
may have noticed that cheap flashlights do not cost a lot of money but that is
about the only good thing one can say about them. If you are tired of dealing
with these contraptions, it may be time to spend a little more money and get something
descent. That is why we bought a Rayovac Virtually Indestructible flashlight.
This blog is about products in your home, and I will always attempt to give honest reviews. Many of these things I have tried myself, and others I have extensively researched. That way you can make an informed decision. For the latest news on product specials from Amazon, go to this link here. :)

In Search of a Good USB External Modem
In case you have been living under a rock for the past few years, dial up Internet is slowly becoming a thing of the past. This means that your new PC may not have an internal modem. For most people this may not be a problem. However, you might still have a dial up connection or wish to use dial up for emergency online access. I recently purchased the TRENDnet 56K USB 2.0 Phone, Internet and Fax Modem, TFM-561U. Here is more info about it and all about my personal experience.

Omron Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor
If you or a family member has hypertension, it is important to check your blood pressure regularly. Even if it is under control with medication, things can change and your medication may need to be adjusted. High blood pressure is not called the "silent killer" for nothing. What you do not know can hurt you and even kill you. In 2006 we bought an Reli-On/Omron Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor, and it has worked well since.
GE 1.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave
Just recently our old GE 1.1 cubic foot countertop microwave bit the dust. However, we were not that disappointed, because it had served us tirelessly for about 8 years. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that GE still makes this model (although there have been a few changes). This was pretty much a "no brainer" when it came to seeking a viable replacement.
Fiskars Hatchets Make Chopping and Cutting Easier
Many of you have probably
enjoyed Fiskars scissors. These cutting tools are superior to most you will find
on the market today (at least at reasonable prices). Yet, you may not be aware
that they make other fine cutting tools like axes and hatchets. A while back we
bought a 14 inch hatchet and it has been an excellent tool.
